Forward-minded young professionals raising funds and awareness for Children’s Institute, Inc. (CII)
Mission: A committee of altruistic, business-minded, youthful individuals dedicated to helping the children and families of Children's Institute while connecting with fellow philanthropists and professionals.
Founded by: Rochelle Gores Fredston
Member Requirements:
Ø 3 yearly cocktail parties
Ø Participation/Attendance in The Autumn Party
Ø Fundraising/Networking
Ø Participants to volunteer at least six hours annually for Children’s Institute, Inc. (CII), including any of the following ways:
o Reading
o Sports
o Art
o Mentoring
o Tutoring
o Event Committee Work i.e. ticket sales, auction items, event planning
Goals:
Ø Provide volunteers for CII programs
Ø Raise funds for program-in-need under CII’s umbrella
o Three under-funded projects will be presented each year. PSLA will vote for one.
o All funds raised will go towards the one chosen project each year.
Ø Network to bring resources and contacts to CII
Ø Provide members with an easy and convenient system for volunteering
Ø Utilize social networking sites such as Facebook and Twitter
Ø Collaborate with like-minded peers
